Derby County bounced back from their humbling defeat at Leeds United to fight their way to a hard-earned point against another promotion hopeful, Burnley.

For all the defensive frailty on show at Elland Road last weekend, Paul Warne’s men dug in and battled to a 0-0 draw that saw Burnley booed off at the end of the game.

Assistant head coach Richie Barker hailed the Rams’ spirit – a sentiment that was echoed by supporters. Responding to our content on DerbyshireLive, most were happy with last night’s display – with the odd grumble. Here’s a selection of replies.

Panther: Take a point at burnley as they have been a bogey side for us for years,we'll done team

cstand: We were poor

GP: It’s a point Plymouth wouldn’t mind!

singaporesling: A hard fought and well earned point . Well done everyone at the club

Assekrem:

Much better performance in terms of approach, actually tried to engage them high up the pitch and not just let them do what they wanted. Lack quality up front, but we know that, crucially though Burnley weren't allowed to be comfortable.

Lucky not to concede a penalty for handball.

Very surprised that Brown was taken off so early, with that change we also withdrew Adams to in front of the defence. The two of them had been the key to the pressing and the disruption. After that Burnley had far more of the ball and were able to start attacks untroubled. That didn't change until NML came on and added more intensity up top again and we were in the game more. Even had a couple of chances.

Yates had to score that rebound, good save for the first shot but there was plenty of goal to aim for with the second shot.

Happy with the point, happy with the approach. Keep it up.

Garden is rosey:

Amazed he took Brown off after 60 minutes, thought he was a handful to Burnley defence, it still appears Warne doesn't rate him enough to play the whole game, despite the fact we can't score goals.

Excellent team effort.Good point.
