Paul Warne in Kenzo Goudmijn admission as he prepares for another 'big' Derby County ask
Paul Warne does not believe the demands of the Championship have surprised Kenzo Goudmijn and says several players were feeling the effects of a three-game week against Hull City.
Goudmijn was substituted on the hour mark for the second successive game as the Rams came from behind to seal a 1-1 draw against the Tigers courtesy of a brilliant header from Dajaune Brown.
Both sides looked laboured in the Championship clash, the final fixture of a three-game week following the October international break. Asked whether he felt Goudmijn had found the physical demands of the Championship tough following his move from AZ Alkmaar in the summer, head coach Warne said: "He did look tired, but a lot of them did.

"You have to remember that in Holland they play from week to week, and the Championship is a physical league where they are all elite athletes. But I don't think it has come as a surprise to Kenzo, and that's why I think he is brave to take the challenge and come over here.
"He's really hard on himself if things don't go right. In moments he did well at the weekend, but he did look jaded. But Marcus (Harness), Kane (Wilson) and Kayden (Jackson) looked jaded too. There were some tired bodies after three games in a week.
"International breaks are great but then it just squeezes the midweek games. We have a free week this week, which will be great for us, but then we go Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday again, which is another big ask."
