Paul Warne made five changes to his starting XI to face Portsmouth tonight as the Rams look to secure a first home win since October.

Callum Elder, Joe Ward, Liam Thompson, Dajaune Brown and Nat Phillips all drop to the bench for the Championship clash with Kane Wilson, Craig Forsyth, Ben Osborn, Marcus Harness and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing returning.

The switch in personnel indicates there will also be a shift in formation with Derby, who played a back three in their last two games at Burnley and Leeds, switching to a traditional back four.

Jacob Widell Zetterstrom will be in goal behind the quartet of Wilson, Curtis Nelson, Eiran Cashin and Forsyth. In midfield, Ben Osborn is expected to play at the base with Ebou Adams and Kenzo Goudmijn slightly ahead of him.

On the flanks are Mendez-Laing, who is expected to start the game on the right-hand side of the attack, while Harness, who came close to scoring against Burnley on Tuesday night, operating on the left.

Derby's top scorer Jerry Yates, who has four goals this season, will spearhead the attack. On the bench there are options for Warne with Tom Barkhuizen, James Collins, Corey Blackett-Taylor, Kayden Jackson, Josh Vickers, Brown, Phillips, Elder and Thompson making up the substitutes.

Derby (4-3-3): Zetterstrom; Wilson, Nelson, Cashin, Forsyth; Adams, Osborn, Goudmijn; Mendez-Laing, Yates, Harness

Subs: Barkhuizen, Collins, Blackett-Taylor, Jackson, Vickers, Brown, Phillips, Elder and Thompson
