Paul Warne's big dilemma as question looms in predicted Derby County XI v Portsmouth
After a battling performance against Burnley at Turf Moor, Derby County face Portsmouth tomorrow night in what is generally being regarded as their biggest game of the week.
A victory will open up a seven-point gap on Pompey who are one place above the relegation zone and it is these types of games that will ultimately define the outcome of Derby's season given their ambitions are to survive their first campaign back in the second tier.
After a spirited display against Burnley, however, the big question for Paul Warne for the visit of John Mousinho's side is does he stick or twist in terms of personnel?

Jacob Widell Zetterstrom has firmly established himself as the club's number one but whether he plays behind a back three or a four will not become clear until the teams are announced an hour before kick-off. Nat Phillips has played well in his last two games with the on-loan Liverpool defender comfortably delivering his best performance of the season at Leeds last Saturday.
But if Derby are to introduce their wide players for the visit of Portsmouth, then a switch to a back four will be required and Phillips would likely be the centre-back to miss out. Warne has often played a three-man attack at home this season and it would be a surprise if he does not do so again tomorrow.
The midfield three, after their performance against Bournemouth on Tuesday, stands a good chance of being the same after Ben Osborn was given a rest presumably with tomorrow in mind.
Ebou Adams has become a hugely important figure this season, while Liam Thompson has played well too. Kenzo Goudmijn looked more like his old self against Leeds as a substitute and he created a good chance for Jerry Yates in the second half. Out of all the midfielders, Goudmijn is arguably the most creative and you sense it is a toss up between him and Osborn.
Yates is automatically first choice as the main striker so he will play and then it comes down to who can play on the flanks. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing should start on the left while Kayden Jackson would be a good bet to start on the right.
Derby predicted XI (4-3-3): Zetterstrom, Wilson, Nelson, Cashin, Forsyth; Adams, Thompson, Goudmijn; Mendez-Laing, Yates, Jackson.
