Peacock Olympics schedule: What to watch, stream today from Paris Games

Two days of competition precede the official start of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, but there are no sporting events on Friday.

Friday is something of a day off for the thousands of athletes participating at the 2024 Paris Games. Instead of competition, the sole event on July 26 is the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.

This year's ceremony will feature the Parade of Nations down the Seine. Delegations from each of the more than 200 participating countries will "march" down the river that runs through Paris.

Athletic competition will resume on Saturday, July 27, with events across 24 sports.

Here's what to know about the sole event at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday, July 26.
