PFA Scotland Manager of the Year nominees revealed as Celtic and Rangers bosses miss out
The PFA Scotland Manager of the Year candidates have been announced - and Brendan Rodgers and Philippe Clement miss out.
The award is voted for by fellow managers and both the Celtic and Rangers bosses have been snubbed. Instead, the nominees are Kilmarnock's Derek McInnes, his former assistant Tony Docherty now in charge at Dundee and Falkirk's John McGlynn after their League One success.
McInnes has improved Killie year on year and they've had an outstanding campaign this time out, looking nailed on to finish fourth and having given both Celtic and Rangers bloody noses on more than one occasion. Docherty left his old boss' side to take over at the Dee and has done superbly in his first season as the main man.
The Dens Park side secured a top six spot after being promoted from the Championship last season and still have a chance of making Europe if they can leapfrog St Mirren into fourth.
McGlynn has led Falkirk to the League One title they've craved during years of underachievement and they can now look ahead to a return to the Championship. On top of that, they remain unbeaten in the league and will hope to maintain that record with one game to play.
The winner will be revealed at the awards dinner on Sunday.
