Philippe Clement WON'T face Rangers sack as key reason spelled out
Rangers will not be able to sack Philippe Clement as they are going to keep losing money next season, but should give him "the right tools" and stick by the Belgian, reckons Andy Walker.
After their dismissal defeat to Aberdeen, many fans and pundits alike are now sure of one thing - Clement must go. However, not all are convinced and it's thought it would demand a sizeable fee to relieve the 50-year-old of his Ibrox duties.
He also signed a new contract this summer until 2028, which will only increase the burden on the club should they go down the road of terminating the deal. Walker, however, thinks the club's recent financial revelations, where they posted a whopping £17m loss, will make it unlikely that he leaves. He also suggests sticking by Clement, but changing how the Gers operate in the transfer market could be a route out of their current rut.

Speaking on Go Radio, the former Motherwell and Celtic man said: "Rangers are losing money year after year. Rangers' business model has been atrocious, and how much money will they lose next season?
"You would imagine they will lose money again - that is the way things have been going for some time. If you are to get rid of Philippe Clement and his coaching staff, how much is that going to cost? How much will it cost to get someone new in?
"I said it months ago, Rangers strike me as a club that is inpatient. But you need to be patient and you need to build. You can’t keep spending money you don’t have. You have to be able to build. I think maybe sticking by Philippe Clement - you have to give him the right tools and be a lot more clever in the transfer market."
