PITT 8 PREVIEW: Cougars readying to pounce at Pitt 8

Mar. 30—The Cougars are coming ready for conference battles.

Canadian will be facing the competition at the 2024 Pitt 8 Conference Baseball Tournament Thursday through Saturday at Stuart.

The Cougars are returning to the Pitt 8 Tournament following last year's consolation championship win over Haileyville Indianola. This year, the squad is continuing to build on itself as they prepare to face their conference brethren.

Canadian has seen its share of adversity this season, but as always been willing to meet those challenges head on. And not only have it battled the elements and multiple rainouts, but still fought through and took on teams such as Quinton, Leflore, and Weleetka.

The Cougars have also seen a few of their fellow conference foes, with games against the likes of Indianola and Crowder.

As a team, the Cougars offense has scored more than 30 runs to start the season.

And as they ready to begin tournament play, the Cougars will be setting their sights on the Warriors once again, opening up the 2024 Pitt 8 Tournament with a rematch against Indianola on Thursday.
