PITT 8 PREVIEW: Haileyville looking forward to Pitt 8 battles

Mar. 30—The Warriors are ready to face the field.

Haileyville will battle against the competition at the 2024 Pitt 8 Conference Baseball Tournament Thursday through Saturday at Stuart, pitting the Warriors against their fellow conference members.

The Warriors returns to the 2023 edition of the tournament after an appearance in last spring season season's consolation championship against Canadian.

Haileyville has had to fight the temperamental March weather and multiple rainouts, but still hit the ground running to start the season — with battles against teams such as Porter, Summit Christian, and Clayton, as well as fellow Pitt 8 members Kiowa, Stuart, and Indianola.

The Warriors also hit the road over spring break, taking on a bevy of teams on the gulf coast in Florida.

Kody Boatright leads the offense for Haileyville with a .429 batting average, while the team has combined for 12 RBIs on the season. On the mound, the Warrior pitching efforts have combined for 21 strikeouts on the year so far.

The Warriors will start their 2024 Pitt 8 Conference Tournament journey Thursday, facing off against Kiowa.
