What pleased Leeds United chief Daniel Farke about their 'convincing' home win over QPR
Daniel Farke declared himself "very happy" with Leeds United's performance in their 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.
The Whites put in a dominant first half performance, taking the lead in the 19th minute through Jayden Bogle. Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon also put the ball in the net after good work from Sam Byram but the goal was ruled out for offside. Solomon, who has flattered to deceive since moving to Elland Road, was among three changes made by Farke.
Farke's side created more chances to extend their lead after the break but were wasteful in front of goal against the Championship strugglers. They made hard work of it but got the job done as Joel Piroe added a second deep into added on time to ensure they leapfrogged Sheffield United into second spot. The Blades entertain Sheffield Wednesday in the Steel City derby tomorrow lunchtime.

"I am happy with a win," said Farke. "I have to give many compliments (to the players).
"The load is incredible. Key players are out or suspended. To deliver such a performance and convincing win, to respond after a loss, not a bad performance, it does something to confidence.
"Everyone expects us to win. It's not easy. We had to be on it."
It is United's fifth straight home win on the bounce. Farke was thrilled with the "performance, win and clean sheet", heaping praise on his "rock solid" defence. He conceded United could have scored more goals had they been more ruthless in front of goal but he refused to criticise his players after a taxing week.
With table-topping Sunderland throwing away a two-goal lead at home to managerless Coventry City, the Whites are now two points off first position.
