Kye Armstrong has confirmed that he has left Hull FC. The 20-year-old will move into a 'new chapter' in 2025 and beyond with the forward bidding farewell to the club on his Instagram page.

Armstrong was part of Hull's first-team squad for the last two seasons, playing for both of the club's academy and reserve sides after breaking through as a scholar. He came back from a second serious shoulder operation to line up for the reserves once again earlier this year, playing in his favoured loose-forward spot as well as half-back.

But he has now parted ways with the club, despite being under contract for a further season, with the club holding the option of a third year.

"It’s been a pleasure over the past few years but now it’s time for a new chapter in my life," Armstrong wrote. "Big thanks to @hullfcofficial for the opportunities given. Over and out."

Armstrong is the 20th player to leave Hull this year, with Fa'amanu Brown, Jack Brown, Lennon Bursell, Joe Cator, Damel Diakhate, Mackenzie Harman, Jeylan Hodgson, Tex Hoy, Darnell McIntosh, Sully Medforth, Jayden Okunbor, Franklin Pele, Cam Scott, Charlie Severs, Liam Sutcliffe, Jake Trueman, Carlos Tuimavave, and Mitieli Vulikijapani all moving on. Danny Houghton has also retired.
