Plymouth Argyle have picked up four points from their last two Championship games to move out of the bottom three positions in the table.

However, the third international break of the season means they will not get the chance to build on those results until they play Watford in a Sky-televised clash at Home Park on Friday, November 22. Five members of Wayne Rooney's Pilgrims' squad have been called up to represent their countries, while striker Ben Waine, who is on loan to League One outfit Mansfield Town from Argyle, will be away with New Zealand.

The trio of Ibrahim Cissoko (Netherlands under-21s), Brendan Galloway (Zimbabwe) and Conor Hazard (Northern Ireland) would almost certainly have on international duty too were they not injured at the moment. Here is a look at who is playing where and when:

MUSTAPHA BUNDU (Sierra Leone)

Sierra Leone are playing their final two Group G games in 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying and still have a chance of securing a top two finish to make it into the finals in Morocco at the end of next year.

The Leone Stars will play bottom-of-the-table Chad on Wednesday in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. Then will then take on second-placed Zambia in the Liberian city of Monrovia on Tuesday, November 19.

Bundu has made four Championship starts for Argyle this season, including in the 1-1 draw at Derby County, plus seven substitute appearances.

DARKO GYABI (England Under-20s)

The on-loan Leeds United midfielder is again part of the England Under-20s squad for their fifth and sixth matches in the 2024/25 Euro Elite League.

Gyabi scored one of the goals when England triumphed 2-1 in Italy last month. The young Lions are top of the table with 10 points from four games going into their fixture at home to second-placed Germany, who have won three out of three, at League Two club Chesterfield on Friday.

England will then be away to Poland, who are currently in fifth position out of eight nations in Pulawy on Tuesday, November 19. Gyabi has made 12 starts and two substitute appearances for Argyle in the Championship this season.

FREDDIE ISSAKA (Wales Under-19s)

Wales will be taking part in the European Under-19 Championship qualifying round over the next week, with their three Group 5 games all taking place in Scotland.

The first of those matches will be against Scotland at Forthbank Stadium in Stirling on Wednesday. The Welsh will also play France at the same venue on Saturday, November 16 before facing Liechtenstein at Cappielow Park, Greenock, next Tuesday.

The 13 group winners, plus all the runners-up and the best third-placed nation, will join Portugal in the elite round of qualifying next March. Issaka has played eight times for Argyle in the Championship this term, including two starts, and scored his first senior goal for the club in the 3-3 draw at home to Preston North End.

VICTOR PALSSON (Iceland)

The 33-year-old defender will hope to add to his 45 appearances for Iceland in their final two UEFA Nations League B Group 4 fixtures, although his lack of game-time with Argyle could count against him when national coach Age Hareide makes his team selection.

Iceland have two away matches coming up. The first is against Montenegro in Niksic on Saturday, November 16. They will then play Wales at Cardiff City Stadium next Tuesday.

Palsson has played six times for Argyle in the Championship this term, with the second of his two substitute appearances coming in the closing stages of the draw at Derby.

KORNEL SZUCS (Hungary)

The 23-year-old central defender will hope to get further game-time after making his senior international debut as a late substitute in Hungary's 2-0 win away to Bosnia Herzegovina last month.

Hungary are in third place in the UEFA Nations League A Group 3 but still have a chance of a top two finish and qualifying for the quarter-finals. They are away to second-placed Netherlands in Amsterdam on Saturday, November 16 and will host Germany at the Puskas Arena in Budapest next Tuesday.

Szucs has made 12 starts and one substitute appearance for Argyle in the Championship this season after joining from Hungarian side Kecskemeti at the start of August.

BEN WAINE (New Zealand)

New Zealand will play at home in their second and third games in Group B of Oceania qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Waine scored one of the goals when the All Whites beat Tahiti 3-0 in their first match last month. Now they will take on Vanuatu in Hamilton on Friday and then Samoa in Auckland next Monday.

The Argyle striker has made a total of four starts and seven substitute appearances on loan to Mansfield and scored two goals, most recently in the 4-0 FA Cup first round win away to Curzon Ashton.
