Arsenal's lead at the Premier League summit stands at two points after another hectic matchday.

Manchester City had to wait until Sunday for a potential reply, with Tottenham holding them to a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Etihad. Liverpool earlier produced an incredible comeback to see off Fulham 4-3 at Anfield, meaning they now sit second and a point ahead of City.

Aston Villa's late 2-2 draw at Bournemouth, meanwhile, sees them stay fourth ahead of Spurs.

Saturday evening saw Manchester United travel to Newcastle as sixth played seventh, Newcastle rising to fifth briefly with a 1-0 triumph.

Elsewhere, Sheffield United were thrashed by Burnley in a battle of relegation contenders at Turf Moor and West Ham were held at home by Crystal Palace.

Brentford beat Luton and Everton earned a valuable win away at Nottingham Forest.
