PREP SOFTBALL: Fountain Central defeats Covington

Apr. 25—COVINGTON, Ind. — Down 3-2 going into the fifth inning, the Fountain Central softball team made a move.

The Mustangs scored three runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings to get a 8-3 win over Covington on Thursday.

Zoe Foxworthy-DeJournett had two doubles and two RBIs for Fountain CEntral, while Lillian Bennett and Kearney Foxworth-DeJournett each had two RBIs and Sami Krout had two hits and a RBI.

Lily Pigg and Lily Gayler each had two hits and a RBI for Covington, while Emma Holycross had an RBI, Haley Holycross had three hits and Alex Sutherlin had two hits.

The Mustangs will play North Putnam on Friday, while Covington will take on Crawfordsville on Saturday.
