PREP SOFTBALL: Hoopeston Area loses to Iroquois West

Apr. 18—GILMAN — The Hoopeston Area softball team saw themselves in a battle on Thursday with Iroquois West.

But the Cornjerkers did not have enough firepower to get a win as they lost to the Raiders 14-11.

Jersey Cundiff had three hits and two RBIs for Hoopeston Area, while Kennedy Wallace had two hits and two RBIs, Maddie Barnes had two hits and a RBI, Viviana Zamarripa had two hits, Melina Vogel had three RBIs and Kinzley Bailey, Addyson Kelnhofer and Macy Warner each had one RBI.

The Cornjerkers are 10-8 and will face Milford on Friday.
