Pulaski conquers East Jessamine in offensive battle

Apr. 22—After dropping a game on the road against Madison Southern, the Maroons of Pulaski County found themselves back on the road for a Saturday afternoon contest against East Jessamine. Only managing to score three runs in their previous games, and despite trailing by three runs after the first inning, the bats of the Maroons got to work in this one and eventually won 16-11 over the Jaguars.

Carter Ross had just one hit in the ball game but it was a massive one, as he got four RBI's on a grand slam. Chance Todd, Mason Acton, Braden Hampton and Kade Hargis each had two RBI's in the contest, with Acton also hitting a home run. Chase Farmer, Bryce Cowell and Jacob Todd had one RBI apiece in the win. Keegan Measel and Owen Stevens each had a stolen base. The Maroons used four pitchers in the game with Jacob Todd, Skylar Stringer, Measel and Chase Easterly all coming to the mound. Jacob Todd earned the win, going four and one-third innings while allowing five runs on six hits with one walk and a strikeout.

Pulaski improves to 8-6 and will begin a district series against the Somerset Briar Jumpers on Monday.
