Rangers boss Philippe Clement has issued an injury update ahead of their game against Kilmarnock on Sunday lunchtime - with the Belgian confirming that four star players including Oscar Cortes and Rabbi Matondo will still be unavailable for the trip to Rugby Park at the weekend, though Danilo may see a return to first-team action.

The Gers have recovered from a poor start in the Scottish Premiership, where they only won two of their opening four games to record another underwhelming beginning to life in the division, having done the same under Michael Beale last season.

Whilst results in Europe have not been ideal with a 4-1 loss at home to Lyon in the Europa League coming after they were dumped out of the Champions League conversation by Dynamo Kyiv in the qualifiers, their domestic form has vastly improved and the Belgian will be hoping that can continue in Ayrshire - even with Cortes, Matondo, Ridvan Yilmaz and Ianis Hagi out of contention.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's game at Rugby Park, Clement hinted at a potential return for the Brazilian, who has yet to start a game this season; though he ruled Matondo and Yilmaz only set to come back by the start of November. He said, via Rangers' official X (formerly Twitter) account:

"Hagi is suspended. Cortes will be out for several weeks. Ridvan I expect back in training next week, Matondo later on next week or the following week. Danilo is back training with the squad - we will see how fit he is for the weekend."
