Ray Parlour backs Rangers to ruin Ange forever as bloodthirsty Spurs fans outdo each other – 'the man is out his depth'
Expectant Ray Parlour reckons Rangers are primed and ready to heap added misery on Ange Postecoglou as the pressure intensifies on the under-fire Tottenham boss.
The 59-year-old is feeling the heat after a toothless 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth pushed Spurs into the bottom half of the Premier League. And Postecoglou is now staring down a defining week as they host Chelsea, travel to Ibrox and then head to Southampton against Russell Martin's strugglers. Parlour, speaking on talkSPORT, said: "You have some big Cup games coming up. Rangers, Ally (McCoist) must be looking at it, they have a decent chance there at Ibrox against Spurs."
McCoist responded "exactly", as the Ibrox hero started to believe again. And one irate punter, venting on the morning show, Callum, let rip over a trait he cannot stomach. He said: "Do you know what I cannot stand? It's the flippancy that's coming from Ange Postecoglou. He is always like 'oh well, I can understand why the fans would be annoyed with that performance'.
"We are just not battling hard enough. Hard work beats talent when talent fails. All we are doing, every single time, is getting out battled."
And he was quickly followed by Alex, who brutally slapped down the man in the firing line. He said: "I don't think we are going to beat Chelsea on Sunday, we are a yo-yo team, we are like a kangaroo, we are up and down, even the Koalas can't bear it. It's about time we did something about this. The man's out of his depth, it's his mannerisms, the way he is dealing with situations, shaking his head, that is not a man who is taking responsibility, is it?"
