Real Madrid handed major double injury scare ahead of Liverpool Champions League match
Real Madrid have been dealt another injury blow ahead of the Champions League clash with Liverpool. The Reds are due to face the Spanish giants in their next league phase fixture of the revamped European competition after November's international break.
Liverpool have won their opening four games in the Champions League this campaign, beating Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 in their most-recent fixture. Anfield will play host to the clash against Real on November 27 - and it seems that the Reds' upcoming opponents have been dealt an injury setback or two.
Saturday afternoon saw Madrid face Osasuna in La Liga and claim a 4-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu. Vinicius Jr. scored a hat-trick with Jude Bellingham also on the score-sheet, but that game saw a member of Carlo Ancelotti's squad suffer a worrying blow before their trip to Anfield.

Eder Militao was forced to be stretchered off the pitch in the 30th minute, with what appeared to be a potential knee injury. The Brazilian was in clear discomfort after suffering the injury, and it remains to be seen how long the centre-back will be on the side-lines in recovery.
Should Militao be unavailable for the foreseeable, the defender will add to the growing injury list for Madrid. The win over Osasuna also saw Rodrygo depart with a possible thigh injury after leaving the field hobbling.
Rodrygo had already been side-lined for three weeks - due to an injury - and made his return as a starter against Osasuna. He was substituted even before Militao in the 20th minute.
Madrid already have a lengthy injury list ahead of the Champions League clash against Liverpool later this month. David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Thibaut Courtois and Aurelien Tchouameni all missed the win over Osasuna and there will be concern that Militao and Rodryo look set to join the injured players in the treatment room heading into the international break and beyond.
