Robby McCrorie completes Kilmarnock transfer as Rangers backup joins Derek McInnes' Euro chasers

Robby McCrorie has completed his move from Rangers to Kilmarnock.

The goalkeeper has been the deputy at Ibrox under a number of different managers with Jack Butland the latest stopper to keep him out of the team. Liam Kelly's arrival on a free from Motherwell also threatened the 26-year-old's progress and that triggered interest from Derek McInnes' Euro chasers, alerting them to the players' availability.

Now the Rugby Park club have confirmed they've landed the goalkeeper as they announced him with the help of Oasis' Morning Glory tune. McCrorie managed just eight appearances over his 10 years at Ibrox but is now looking to establish himself as Killie's number one with Will Dennis leaving to return to his parent club Bournemouth.

It's a two-year deal McCrorie signed in Ayrshire.

Manchester United were previously linked with a stunning move for the player as they chased a deputy of their own, only for that move never to materialise.
