Roy Keane's staggering net worth, next career move, huge mansions and little-known wife
Roy Keane is one of the most successful Irish footballers of all time, having won countless honours during his time at Manchester United.
After retiring from football back in 2006, Keane decided management would first be an avenue he looked to explore, having done so with Sunderland and Ipswich Town. Following a two-year stint with each club, the tough-tackling midfielder decided a career in the media might be better suited to his personality.
Bust-ups at the Emirates, spats with fellow pundits on TV and a Sky Sports regular, Keane has enjoyed the highs and the lows, but also confirmed recently he will soon step away from our TV screens due to the lengthy travel commitments.

That will no doubt please his wife Theresa Doyle, who has been by his side since they tied the knot back in 1997. In an interview with The Mirror, Keane told the press how he courted her some years ago, stating: "I spotted a beautiful girl in a club in town. Her name was Theresa Doyle but she blanked me.
"She was in a steady relationship and didn't seem at all impressed by Roy Keane, the great footballer. In fact, I think my reputation was as a downer for all kinds of reasons.
"From time to time we ran into each other around Nottingham. I knew some of her friends, who told me Theresa was a dentist's assistant. Eventually, after her relationship broke up, she relented and we went out together. I was in love."
The pair married in Cork and the former Celtic man has often spoken of his admiration for his beloved wife. "I don't really mention her in public, but in fairness to her, she has been a rock in my life," he said.
"Just brilliant. She reads me better than I read myself. I wouldn't say Theresa likes every part of the package. She knows I haven't got a halo over my head. Actually, that's what she likes about me. She also knows I am not the nastiest person in the world."
Keane and Theresa have five children. Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna - as well as two grandchildren. Speaking in his autobiography about his children, Keane opened up on an often unseen part of his life: "My plan when I first stopped was, we're going to go on some family trips, we're going to be like the Waltons.
"We're all going to spend time together, go walk in the park, and after a month or two they didn't have the same plan as me so I think they were kind of missing me going to work. I got offered the job at Sunderland and I was away on a family holiday and my family were looking at me... Not saying it directly but going we kind of enjoy your company but not too much of it so when the job came back up they were saying you should go for it."
Keane lives in Chesire, where he has lived since his time at United in the late 1990s. In 2010, he put his huge pad in Hale on the market for £9.5million, and it has been reported that he lives in a 9,500sq ft estate in the same area of Greater Manchester.
The former Nottingham Forest is also said to have property in Ireland. Keane recently revealed that he plans to move abroad in the near future in what could be a massive career change.
“In the next couple of years, I reckon I will be moving abroad... putting it out there," he said on The Overlap with Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright and Gary Neville.
Pushed on where he would move to by Carragher, Keane replied: “Do you know what, Switzerland, maybe? Switzerland is beautiful.”
Speaking back in August, Keane revealed his intention to quit punditry within the next 10 years.
"I love football, but the hassle of matches, getting to games, and the hassle of fans – I was in court a few months ago with somebody head-butting me – do you think I enjoy that side of it? Absolutely not," he said, speaking on the Stick to Football podcast brought to you by Sky Bet.
"The games are fine. Getting to the games, parking up, people shouting your name – good stuff, bad stuff – it’s a nuisance. Being a pundit in 10 years, not."
What is Roy Keane's estimated net worth?
Celebrity Net Worth state the former midfielder has an estimated net worth of around £46.5million, mainly thanks to his Premier League glory days, managerial career and punditry work.
Keane has also worked closely with adidas and Manchester United in the past with his fee for commercial revenue deals unknown but thought to be in the millions.
