Ruben Amorim can compete with Real Madrid to solve Manchester United problem position
Manchester United are still an 'attractive prospect' for any player and can compete with Real Madrid to secure the signing of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies next summer.
That is the verdict of former United and Everton forward Louis Saha, who believes his former side have to be chasing the very best players in order to restore the club to where they should be in the Premier League.
United are currently languishing in 14th position in the Premier League table after a dismal start to the season saw Erik ten Hag lose his job as the club's manager.

He is expected to be replaced by Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim, who places a lot of importance on his full-backs in his favoured 3-4-3 formation.
United have not had a fit senior left-back available all season, with both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia missing with long-term injuries.
It is a problem that they must sort in the long-term and Davies, who has excelled at Bayern Munich since joining the club from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018, is set to be available on a free transfer next summer.
Real Madrid are heavy favourites to secure the signature of the Canada international but Saha feels Amorim's United should aim high and compete with Los Blancos for the 23-year-old's signature.
“It’s a difficult one," Saha told Betfred.
"When you’re a player and you have a choice to make between Real Madrid, who seem to win the Champions League every year, and Manchester United, it’s a difficult one.
"Manchester United are still a very attractive prospect for any player and they need a player in Alphonso’s position if Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia don't come back soon.
"The club needs top players in every position to chase what they need to chase. They’re not chasing to be in the middle of the table, they need to be chasing the teams at the very, very top.
"Without those players with massive experience and top talent, it’s going to be very difficult to do so.”
Amorim confirmed on Thursday that he will communicate a decision over his future after Sporting's game against Estrela Amadora on Friday evening.
It is expected he will join United during the November international break, meaning interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy would remain in charge of the club for the next three matches.
