Ruben Amorim dealt Manchester United injury blow
Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has pulled out of the Argentina squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Paraguay and Peru.
The centre-back was included in the 28-man squad named by manager Lionel Scaloni last week but has been forced to withdraw with a suspected knock. The 26-year-old started United's 3-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday and played 90 minutes despite requiring treatment from the United medical staff in the second half.
The news that he has been forced to pull out of the Argentina squad for two crucial World Cup qualifiers will no doubt leave United sweating ahead of the restart in just under a fortnight's time.

But the fact Martinez managed to reach the end of the win over Leicester hints at the issue forcing him to withdraw from international duty is not anything too serious. He has been a key figure so far this season, appearing in all but two of their 18 matches.
United have been without Harry Maguire in recent weeks, in addition to Leny Yoro, who is still waiting to make his competitive debut for the club after suffering a fractured metatarsal in pre-season.
