Rugby World Cup tables 2023: Latest pool standings and group results
England smashed Chile to continue their impressive Rugby World Cup campaign in Pool D.
Henry Arundell scored five of their 11 tries as Steve Borthwick’s much-changed side ran riot against the overmatched tournament debutants in Lille.
That one-sided demolition came after Georgia and Portugal had played out a thrilling draw, with Ireland and South Africa clashing in Paris on Saturday night in the biggest game of the World Cup so far.
Scotland are back in action on Sunday after a two-week break, going up against Tonga, before a decisive clash between Wales and Australia takes centre stage in Pool C.
France racked up 14 tries in Marseille on Thursday as they won 96-0 against Namibia, the biggest win of the tournament so far and one that makes it three victories from three for the hosts in Pool A, though star captain Antoine Dupont suffered a facial fracture in that game.
Argentina battled to victory over Samoa on Friday night to get their campaign off and running after an opening loss to England.
