Saido Berahino reveals Rangers transfer attempt and former Ibrox star 'best he's played with'
Saido Berahino has revealed Rangers once tried to sign him as he took part in a fan Q&A this afternoon.
The 30-year-old striker was most recently plying his trade with AEL Limmasol having had a number of different clubs in the UK including West Brom, Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday. During a questions session on social media earlier today, though, the Burundian hitman suggested that it could have been different for him when asked if Gers ever attempted to bring him in.
A fan asked: "Rangers ever try and sign you?", to which he replied: "Once!!" That led to questions of the timescale with one wondering if it was during Steven Gerrard's tenure.
Berahino was quizzed on a number of different issues and the attacker was more than happy to oblige.
And when asked who the best player he ever played with was, he replied - and more than once - "Graham Dorrans".
Steve Clarke was also his answer for best manager he's worked with from their spell at the Hawthorns with the Baggies.
