Erik ten Hag has confirmed Scott McTominay is likely to return to action for Manchester United this weekend after a knee injury.

The midfielder struck the fear of God into Scotland supporters with Euro 2024 just around the corner when he thumped the Old Trafford pitch in frustration after a challenge against Burnley last weekend. It worried the Tartan Army of McTominay's potential injury issues before the tournament but the player himself settled any nerves by confirming it was not as bad as first feared.

Now manager Ten Hag has confirmed that while he has not yet trained this week, he could be back in action to play even a small part for the Red Devils against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

"Scott didn't train so far this week but I expect him back in training on Saturday and we have to see if he's 100 percent available or for a part of the game," the Dutchman said.
