Sekou Kone has shown his true colours in response to Manchester United injury concern
Youngster Sekou Kone has displayed an excellent sense of maturity after being forced off injured in Manchester United's Under-21s' 4-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night.
The 18-year-old, who was recruited for a fee just north of £1million in the summer, made his first start for United in any capacity at the John Smith's Stadium.
However, he was forced off after 41 minutes through injury, resulting in him leaving the stadium on crutches and sporting a protective boot on his right foot. The extent of his injury is yet to have been confirmed.

Nevertheless, the Mali youth international, who showed flashes of his quality and potential in the first half against the League One side, has refused to feel sorry for himself in a message he has shared on social media since.
Taking to Instagram, Kone shared a very mature update, saying: "The risk of the job, so we assume all the consequences. It is God who decides everything."
For a young player to have looked at the situation, albeit without declaring the severity of his injury, in such a professional manner offers a small nugget of his mentality.
It is evident that he already understands that footballers will encounter setbacks in their careers and that it is, unfortunately, part and parcel of the job.
United signed Kone from Guidars FC in August in the opinion they had sourced a player with massive potential. Flashes of that potential were on show in West Yorkshire.
Kone, who has made two appearances within United's youth system so far, is both technical with the ball and physical without it, meaning he is already demonstrating traits any budding midfielder must have.
