Tottenham must beat Burnley this weekend if they are to retain hopes of claiming a spot in next season's Champions League competition, so we simulated the game to predict the score.

After four successive defeats in the Premier League, Spurs face relegation-threatened Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what is a must-win game to keep their Champions League aspirations alive. Ange Postecoglu hasn't got any new injury concerns ahead of the game, but Olivier Skipp could find himself deployed at left-back once again, following the season-ending injury to Destiny Udogie.

So can Tottenham beat Burnley to keep their European dreams alive? We simulated the game on EA FC 24 to predict the final score.

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated both squads with the latest injuries and suspensions. We predict that Spurs could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Skipp; Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison; Johnson, Richarlison, Son.

We predict that Burnley could set up in a 4-4-2 formation, with their line-up as follows: Muric; Assignon, O'Shea, Ekdal, Vitinho; Odobert, Cullen, Berge, Larsen; Fofana, Foster.

Tottenham found an early breakthrough against Burnley, and it set the tone for the rest of the game, with Postecoglu's side putting in an excellent performance in this game. Just seven minutes in, James Maddison scored his first Spurs goal since March to make it 1-0, with the midfielder producing a stepover which gave him the space to drill home a shot at the near post.

It was 2-0 just before half-time, with Richarlison finding the net with a header from a corner, as the Brazilian met a near post ball with a glancing header into the far post. It took until the 77th minute, but eventually, Spurs got their third goal to truly kill the game off, and what a goal it was.

The forward took control of the ball in the centre circle, beat a Burnley defender and turned on the afterburners to leave the rest of the defenders in the dust, before firing home a powerful shot into the far corner. It was a great performance from Spurs, as they found their winning ways following four successive defeats.
