Sir Alex Ferguson 'convinced' Man United should build team around struggling player
Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly believes that Marcus Rashford is a player the club should have built around.
Rashford has enjoyed some good seasons at Old Trafford over the years but his last two campaigns have left question marks over his future. On Thursday night, the forward had to contend with boos from the away end as he disappointed against Viktoria Plzen.
Some reports have suggested that Ineos could accept a bid of £40m for Rashford in what would be a huge sale for the Reds. According to The Telegraph, Ferguson would perhaps concede that selling the Englishman would be a mistake.

It is believed that the Scot has enjoyed seeing Rashford's meteoric rise from the academy and would often tell those in his inner circle that he would have loved to manage him. Going a step further, it is claimed Ferguson had told those around him that United needed to make signings to bring the best out of Rashford but those deals had not materialised.
New manager Ruben Amorim has been keen to give Rashford a chance in his new 3-4-3 system. He has spoken about the winger playing as the centre-forward or as one of the No.10s just behind a player like Rasmus Hojlund.
Rashford has scored three goals under Amorim so far which included a brace in the 4-0 victory over Everton. He has scored seven goals in 24 appearances this season in all competitions including two against League One Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.
