Smith not in contention for League Two Player of the Month
Swindon Town striker Harry Smith has not been nominated for the League Two Player of the Month despite an impressive period in November.
The forward scored two goals and an registered an assist in three games but is not one of four players in contention for the award.
Matty Stevens from AFC Wimbledon was picked ahead of him with three goals in five games, two of which came in a 3-1 win against Barrow.
The other players up for selection were Dean Cornelius of Harrogate Town, Alex Gilbey of Milton Keynes Dons, and Jamie McDonnell of Colchester United.
However, the former Sutton United player was in contention for the PFA edition of the award, along with five other players who had an high performing month.
The PFA League Two Player of the Month is fan voted unlike the EFL’s one, and the striker was set to find out his fate on Monday earlier this week, but it has not yet been revealed.
Smith will look to be up for contention for the December edition of both of the PFA and the League Two award, and his hat-trick against Fleetwood Town has put him as the front-runner with many games to go across the festive period.
