Steven Naismith reveals which Hearts goalkeeper will start vs Kilmarnock amid duo's Euros hopes

Steven Naismith hopes to see both of his Hearts goalkeeper head to the Euros..but he can only pick one tomorrow.

The Jambos boss has the luxury of having two international goalies, three if you include third choice Michael McGovern, to choose from. Zander Clark was elevated to number one when Craig Gordon was out for around a year with a double leg break. The veteran, 41, is fit again and has played in three Scottish Cup games and one league match.

He was given the last league game against Livingston in preparation to facing Rangers at Hampden last Sunday and some wondered if he would continue when they travel to Kilmarnock tomorrow. But manager Naismith has confirmed Clark will be reinstated.

He said: "Yeah, Zander will play because it's an important game and we go back to the way we have worked all season.

“It would be incredible (to have both at the Euros), but I think we are only in this position because the two goalies have pushed each other.

"From the different circumstances of Craigy being a long-term injury to coming back at a certain time, they’ve pushed each other, and that’s been the drive. It would be some achievement getting the two of them there.”
