Stewartry Sharks host Wigtownshire and Newton Stewart in first home game of the season
Stewartry Sharks welcomed Wigtownshire and Newton Stewart to Greenlaw for their first home fixture of the season.
Stewartry fielded three primary one to three teams, with sides at that age group playing each other twice.

It was great to see the younger players learning from the older ones and all the boys and girls having fun.
The primary fours and fives played in mixed teams and it was evident how much the younger players who are new to tackling were taking from playing with their more experienced team mates.
There were some very competitive matches against both Newton Stewart and Wigtownshire.
The primary sixes and sevens were mixed too and it was great to see them getting to grips with scrums and kicking against strong teams from Newton and Wigtownshire.
Unfortunately the weather did not really play ball and the soup and sausage rolls at the end were very welcome to try to warm up the soggy players who still had big smiles on their faces.

It has been a busy time for the players as the previous week they played a tournament at Annan against Annan, Moffat and Wigtownshire.
