Striker linked with Arsenal and Chelsea reveals transfer 'dream' ahead of January
Lille striker Jonathan David has revealed his transfer 'dream' amid links of a potential move to either Arsenal or Chelsea. David has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 club ahead of the January transfer window.
Reports in recent weeks have claimed that both Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing David as they look to add a new striker to their squad.
Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport reported that Arsenal will face competition from Liverpool, Manchester United and Juventus for David's signature. David's contract at Lille is set to expire at the end of the season, and it has been reported that the French club would demand a fee worth €20million (£16.7million) for a deal to be agreed in January.

David has scored 13 goals in 19 appearances for Lille this season, including six in the Champions League. It's that form which has led to the Canada international being heavily linked with a move away from France, with Arsenal and Chelsea supposedly looking to sign the striker in the New Year.
Amid the speculation about his future, David has opened up on which club would be his "dream" to join in the future. The 24-year-old has explained why a move to La Liga with Barcelona is an ambition for him.
“(Barcelona) was always the team I grew up supporting," David told The Athletic. "When you grow up supporting a team, it’s your dream to play for them."
David went on to open up on the possibility of leaving Lille in January. The striker explains why he believes it's not straightforward to complete a transfer in the middle of the season.
“Going to a club midseason is never easy,” said David. “It’s not like the beginning of a season where you have a pre-season, you get to know your team-mates, you have time to gel.
"In January, things are very hectic. It’s about right now. It’s tougher.”
