Swansea City settle legal dispute with Southampton's Russell Martin
Swansea City have settled their legal dispute with former boss Russell Martin.
The Swans had previously sued their former boss over an alleged breach of contract following his move to Southampton in the summer of 2023.
Central to the allegations was the claim that Swansea were owed a higher compensation fee for Martin's services, due to the terms of his contract, which stated that a Premier League club would have to pay £2m as opposed to the £1.25m required for an approach from a Championship club.

Southampton were relegated from the top flight before Martin took the reins, but Swansea argued the Saints were still a Premier League club when they made the approach.
Swans accused Martin of a breach and also asked the Premier League to launch an investigation into what they felt was a case of 'tapping up', arguing that he had spoken to the the Saints without their consent.

They also believe the terms around his potential compensation package were also leaked to his current employers.
The Premier League has decided against taking any action, but the matter appears to have been resolved.
It's since been suggested by sources that the settlement might have been agreed as part of the signing of Nathan Wood, who followed Martin to Southampton the following summer.
The fee taking Wood to St Mary's Stadium was believed to be around £3m.
