Texas Girls Coaches Association recognizes several JHS cheerleaders and team coach
Apr. 8—The Texas Girls Coaches Association has announced its Cheer All-Stars and Legacy All-Stars, along with the coaches for the Cheer All-Stars.
Jacksonville High School cheerleading coach, Demi Dotson, was selected as the coach for the Blue All-Star team (Class 1A-4A).
Two teams of all-stars for schools in Class 5A and 6A and for Class 1A-4A were picked. The young ladies will participate in summer clinic all-star activities.
All of the Cheer All-Stars are currently juniors at their respective schools.
Brilyn Bateman of Jacksonville was named to the Class 1A-4A Blue team.
The Legacy All-Stars are comprised of senior girls. These all-stars will not take part in the summer clinic all-star activities, but will receive a patch for their letter jackets and a certificate.
Chesni Speaker and Brooklyn Holman of Jacksonville have been picked as Legacy All-Stars.
The Cheer All-Stars and Legacy All-Stars were chosen by the TGCA Spirit Committee, which is made up of member coaches of the association. Nominations were made by cheer coaches from throughout the state.
