Thiago Silva's wife fires cryptic Chelsea message after Arsenal loss amid Pochettino sack pressure

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva

Thiago Silva's wife, Belle, has taken to social media after Chelsea's humiliating 5-0 defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday. The Blues conceded four times in the space of 25 second-half minutes in an embarrassing display at the Emirates Stadium.

Mauricio Pochettino chose to move Silva to the bench following his return to the side in the 1-0 FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City on Saturday. The Brazilian came on as a late substitute in north London with the result already sown up.

Just minutes after the full-time whistle his wife had once more posted online. She simply put the three 'see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil' monkey emojis. It comes just days after she all but confirmed Silva would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

She wrote: “It’s the last dance on Wembley.' Silva's contract runs out at the end of the season and he is widely expected to call time on his four-year stay at Stamford Bridge with a return to Brazil on the cards.

Belle, on the other hand, has become known for her outspoken ways online. In February she appeared to take a dig at Pochettino, writing on Twitter/X, "It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late."

Pochettino addressed those comments, saying, "He [Thiago] came today to talk with me. I'm not going to talk in the way we were talking. I think the important thing is he came and wanted to talk with me and of course, he know me after more than 10 years, who I am, we are a very strong coaching staff and the way we operate.

"Of course he came to talk and we talked and I think that was private. And that's it. It's a private thing to keep inside."

Belle apologised on that occasion. "I'm sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact," she said. "I'm passionate about the team, I thrive on victories and I'm saddened by defeats. We all want the same thing, a winning team, come on Chelsea!!"

This defeat now leaves the Argentine's position at the club uncertain once more after yet more backlash going his way in the aftermath of the game. Chelsea are expected to assess his position in charge at the end of the season.
