Tim Walter shares his big Hull City hope and assesses West Brom challenge
Hull City head coach Tim Walter says Sunday's home clash with West Brom is not a must-win. But Walter has stressed it is a game his players will be determined to win and he hopes for a little bit of luck to go their way.
City have not won in their last six games with their 1-0 defeat at Oxford United on Tuesday proving especially damaging, not least because they lost star man Mohamed Belloumi to injury, but also because the away supporters turned vociferously on their manager in thee second half, calling for him to lose his job.
That hasn't happened, with Walter retaining the backing of owner Acun Ilicali, despite a dismal start to the season with just three wins in the opening 14 games, including an early Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday.

Luck has been something badly deserting City this season, both on and off the pitch, and Walter hopes Lady luck will be shining on them against the Baggies.
Walter, though, insists despite the pressure on him, and his team, the visit of Carlos Corberan's Baggies is a chance to end this run, put a smile or two back on faces and ease the worry going into into the international break.
"So we must win, hey? We must win. We always must win," he joked. "We could have won the last games as well because we were able to win those games so, and that's the point that we can win the game.
"It's not about having to must win the game; you don't have to 'must do' do anything, just dying. That's the point where you get to the win from working hard, but you don't have to must win.
"It's more about what you want; that's the main point because I think my lads always want to win. They always want to win. Sometimes, that's a coincidence, and sometimes they are unlucky, and sometimes you have them (all on your side), and then you will win.
"They always want to win. If we are on the pitch in the training, they want to win; that's human, and that's all you can do, to want it. To must? Nobody can."
After pipping City to a place in the play-offs last term, Albion started the season really well but have hit the buffers in recent weeks. Thursday night's 0-0 draw at home to Burnley was their sixth straight draw, though the point did move them back into the top six and into fifth.
"It's a good team; it's a brilliant team," Walter said of the Black Country outfit. "They played in the play-offs last year, so they're always close to promotion, so they're a really experienced team, but we can win. We can win if we get them on the point. If we defend like we defend and be resolute.
"Maybe we get a bit more luck, and maybe we will score one in the front, so then we can win, but nobody knows. All we can do is just want to win and to show everybody that we give more than one hundred per cent, and that's what we're trying to do."
