Tom Brady Finally Drops Truth Bomb On Fox Football Broadcast, And People Love It
Tom Brady got brutally frank about a Dallas Cowboys receiver who slipped in a game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday ― and it was the moment many fans had been waiting for. (Check out the video below.)
The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback signed a $375 million contract with Fox Sports to provide insight in his capacity as perhaps the greatest QB ever. But he understandably struggled last week in his debut behind the microphone.
In week two, however, he let viewers know exactly how he would have treated Dallas’ Jalen Brooks after he fell on his pass route, allowing the ball to be easily intercepted during an eventual 44-19 Saints victory.
Play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt asked Brady if he’d throw to Brooks again to build his confidence, and the ex-Patriot and Buccaneer star didn’t mince words.
“Not today,” Brady said. “It’s actually pretty tough to go back there, because you know where he’s at, and you’re saying, ‘God, I’m going to him and I just can’t count on him that he’s gonna stay on his feet.’ You obviously trust him to do the right thing. But can he make the play?”
Tom Brady wasn’t messing around.
“Not today. Pretty tough to go back there.”

After tepid reviews and an awkward fist bump with a colleague in week one, Brady scored big with his candor.
I liked the honesty honestly. Every other hack would say “go right back to him”
Could be a one extra reason behind bradys success— Josh Gilly (@thejoshgilly) September 16, 2024
That's why Tom is Tom and he's the best to ever do it. He could give a fuck about you and your confidence, he's there to win a game. If that means you're done and Ceedee gets your targets then so be it.

I don’t know what’s stopping him but he needs to speak his mind more, they’re paying him 40m a year to give viewers an insight into the GOAT, not for him to tell us a receiver caught a ball and a qb threw a great pass. Dissect the game

Great HONEST commentary.

Lol that's how Brady played as well. If you screwed up, you were not getting the ball lol

He was also seeing how the game was unfolding and understood that they couldn't afford any more fuckups, and rookies will fuck up (except Malcolm Mitchell in the biggest of big stages I miss him so much)
