Tommy Fury's I'm A Celebrity replacement 'confirmed' after last minute snub days before ITV launch
Tommy Fury’s replacement on this year’s I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has been confirmed by a former boxing world champion.
Fury, it is claimed, had been discussing joining the reality show with producers for some time. However, according to a report by the Mirror, the younger brother of Tyson decided the reality show was not for him and dropped out of the series.
Asked about his possible involvement in the series on Heart Breakfast last month, Fury, who ended his engagement with Molly-Mae Hague earlier this year, replied: "Listen, a lot of things in my life is like a rollercoaster in a minute. There are so many things I might do. You know, could he be doing this? Could he be doing that?

"To be honest with you, I don't know what I'm doing this afternoon. I mean, I just take literally an hour at a time, so I don't know. There's a lot of things going on in my life right now. So, I'm not sure on anything."
But now former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton has revealed that Fury has been replaced by someone from McFly, believed to be Danny Jones. The 37-year-old also revealed that he nearly joined the cast himself after the cruiserweight fighter made the decision to pull out.
"I swear to God I was nearly in it last week,” he told Boxing Social when asked about his former manager Barry McGuigan being in the rumoured line-up.
“When Tommy Fury pulled out, there was me and two others, then there was me and one other, and then the fella from McFly got it instead of me.
“So obviously, I think there must have been a debate that would have put me and McGuigan in at the same time. By the way, I would have loved to have been in with him, I would have absolutely loved it, but it wasn’t to be."
McGuigan and Frampton enjoyed years of success together before the pair found themselves in the middle of a high-profile multi-million-pound legal battle. Frampton took legal action over alleged withheld earnings from his bouts, with McGuigan taking a countersuit claiming his former fighter was in breach of contract when he walked out and joined the now-defunct MTK firm in 2017.
Both denied any wrongdoing in the High Court proceedings before it was eventually settled on confidential terms in November 2020. The hit ITV show is set to get underway on Sunday, November 17.
