Tottenham player ratings vs Crystal Palace: Harry Kane delivers for Spurs as Bryan Gil has breakthrough night
Tottenham thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 to lift the gloom and ease the pressure on head coach Antonio Conte.
In a blistering second-half display, Harry Kane scored twice before Matt Doherty made it 3-0 to kill off an abject home side.
Heung-min Son completed the rout with his first goal since October to make for a nearly perfect night for Conte and his side.
Dan Kilpatrick was at Selhurst Park to rate the Tottenham players...
Hugo Lloris 8
Ensured Spurs avoided falling behind for an 11th consecutive game with a smart save to deny Jordan Ayew and made brilliant late saves from the Ghanaian and Wilfried Zaha to preserve the clean sheet.
Cristian Romero 7
Let in Ayew with a loose touch at the start of the second-half but stood up well to Palace’s threats.
Eric Dier 7
Slotted back in nicely and was commanding in the air in an assured display on his return to the side.
Clement Lenglet 7
Turned by Ayew for the forward’s early shot but otherwise defended well.
Matt Doherty 7
Took his finish well with his wrong foot. Final ball was hit and miss but got in good positions all night.
Oliver Skipp 5
Carried the ball forward well but rusty without possession, and was easily beaten by Zaha more than once in the first-half. Improved after the break but clearly needs more football.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 6
Doggedly covered the ground as usual but touch was a little loose at times.
Ivan Perisic 7
Stood up a brilliant cross for Kane to make the breakthrough in a timely reminder of his enduring quality.
Bryan Gil 8
Involved in three of the four goals. Dissected Palace’s defence with a great pass for Kane’s second goal in a lively display. A breakthrough night for the young winger, even if he will need to get used to physicality of the Premier League.
Heung-min Son 7
Got his first goal since October 12 in what could be turning point for the South Korea. Looked short of confidence before his low finish but flung his mask off in celebration afterwards.
Harry Kane 9
Dragged his side to a massively important victory with the first two goals, a brave header and a fine, trademark finish. A leader’s performance.
