Tottenham defender Ben Davies is one of just 13 to be named on the new Players' Board, an official group as part of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA). Only ten current players have been elected.

It has been confirmed that the group will act as the "voice of the changing room." The board will be comprised of three former players and ten who still play.

A statement from PFA CEO Maheta Molango says: “The Players’ Board plays a vital role for the PFA, reflecting the views of our members and ensuing that we, as the players’ union, are working on the issues that are important to them.

“There are so many players who have a lot to offer to the game and to the PFA, and who care about and value the work we do. The Players’ Board is a really important channel to get those members involved, and I’m really looking forward to working with them.”

Alongside Davies, who is Tottenham's longest-serving player having joined in 2014 from Swansea - where he spent almost all of his youth development - are Women's Super League stalwarts Kim Little and Lucy Bronze. Conor Coady, Everton, is the other current top-flight representative.

Omar Beckles, Leyton Orient, has been re-elected as Chair, with Wrexham's Will Boyce and Notts County Zimbabwe international Adam Chicksen announced as well. Walsall defender Donervon Daniels and former QPR man Steve Cook complete the list with Tim Krul.
