Troy Deeney spots telltale sign Clement was 'scared' stiff of Aberdeen BEFORE Rangers kicked a ball
Impressed Troy Deeney reckons Aberdeen are the real deal because they had under-fire Philippe Clement "scared" before Wednesday's chastening defeat at Pittodrie.
Clement was effusive in his praise of the high-flying Dons – nine points clear of Rangers – before and after Jimmy Thelin masterminded a seismic victory in the Granite City. And Watford legend Deeney reckons he could sense trepidation in the Belgian before the result which sparked fan mutiny amid a season which is already threatening to go off the rails.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the Watford legend said: "I think the biggest compliment we can give is what the Rangers manager was saying in the build-up to it, he was saying we are going to have to meet them. It kind of sounded like the Rangers manager was a bit scared of going to Aberdeen."
