Turkish media issue 'helpless' Tottenham verdict as Ange Postecoglou knows Mourinho prediction

It was an evening to forget for Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League as their 100 percent win record in the competition this season came crashing down. Spurs went into the game against Galatasaray having won all three of their opening matches.

However, Younus Akgun gave Galatasaray an early lead in just the sixth minute. Spurs did pull level through Will Lankshear, but a Victor Osimhen double put the Turkish side two goals ahead.

The challenge of a second half comeback was made even more difficult when Lankshear was shown a red card on the hour mark. Tottenham did however manage to pull one goal back through Dominic Solanke nine minutes later, but the challenge proved too much for Ange Postecoglou’s men, who fell to a 3-2 defeat.

Spurs will now look to dust themselves down ahead of a return to Premier League action on Sunday when they take on winless Ipswich Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (2pm kick-off).
