The much-loved Scottish Masters Cup returns tonight and fans will get to see some legendary names back in action.

The six-a-side football tournament will be hosted in the Granite City for the first time as Scottish footballing heroes from Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee United and Rangers compete in the action-packed competition. Defending champions Celtic will be looking to hold onto their title for a second successive year and they'll be relying on the likes of Scott Brown, Stan Petrov and Gary Hooper to fire them to glory.

There's also the small matter of an Old Firm derby where Rangers heroes including Barry Ferguson, Kris Boyd and Nacho Novo will relish pitting their wits against their ex-rivals. But will Aberdeen or Dundee United be able to cause a shock and get their hands on the trophy? Here, Football Scotland tells you everything you need to know ahead of the staple event.

When is the Scottish Masters Cup?

The Scottish Masters Cup will take place on Thursday November 14th at P&J Live in Aberdeen. The event kicks off at 7.30pm.

Is the Scottish Masters Cup on TV?

Yes! Sportscene will have live television coverage from the event on the BBC Scotland channel from 7.15pm – 10pm. Emma Dodds will present, with Rob Maclean in the commentary box.
