Two key players are set to miss matches with Everton after each of the Blues’ next three opponents had players sent off at the weekend. Fulham visit L4 on Saturday with Marco Silva looking to pull off a fourth consecutive win over Sean Dyche at Goodison Park.

The ex-Everton manager will need to do that without summer signing and key centre back Joachim Andersen. The 28-year-old was shown a straight red for hauling down Ollie Watkins when he was the last man as Fulham lost at home to Aston Villa.

Everton then travel to Southampton, who had Ryan Fraser sent off on Saturday for pulling back Jamie Vardy as he looked to pounce on the rebound after a superb save from Aaron Ramsdale to deny Abdul Fatawu.

Vardy then scored from the spot as Leicester City clinched a comeback win on the south coast.

Fraser will only miss one game so will return when Everton make a second long journey in a fortnight. Dyche then takes his side to east London seven days later where West Ham United will still be without Mohammed Kudus.

The attacker - who so nearly joined Everton two years ago - was shown a red card for raising his arms to the face of Tottenham Hotspur’s Micky van de Ven as West Ham lost 4-1 in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off. Everton’s visit will therefore be the final match in his three game suspension.
