Manchester United expect Jonny Evans to return for their Premier League fixture at West Ham on Sunday.

Evans missed the Europa League draw with Fenerbahce due to a knock but is due to be available at the London Stadium. Bruno Fernandes is also back after serving a one-match European ban on Thursday night.

United stayed overnight in Istanbul, where their match kicked off at 10pm local time, and are flying to London rather than to Manchester. The club have opted for an identical pre-match preparation to their 2023 FA Cup semi-final against Brighton at Wembley, which came three days after their Europa League quarter-final defeat to Sevilla.

Erik Ten Hag was unable to provide a specific update on Antony, who was carried off on a stretcher 16 minutes after coming on in the second half at the Sukru Saracoglu.

"I haven't seen it," Ten Hag admitted. "But it's only then I have to tell you out of the second hand. So from the doctor and the physio who told me what they saw. So first I have to see the video before I can give comment on this."

United have made an unbeaten start to their Europa League campaign but are winless, having failed to hold on to leads in all three matches. United have won only three of their eight Premier League fixtures and are still in the bottom half of the table.

Ten Hag felt the draw with Fenerbahce represented a positive point and discounted United's last loss to Tottenham four weeks ago as Fernandes's red card was successfully overturned. Spurs led United 1-0 before Fernandes was sent off in the 43rd minute yet Ten Hag attempted to rewrite the narrative. “I deny that game, ignore that game against Spurs because we were downsized to 10 with a 1-0 losing position and then the red card was overturned, so I totally ignore that game.

“That is not a fair assessment [of] the team, to take this into consideration, because we didn't have the chance to bounce back. But you see this team is resilient, this team is determined.

“On Brentford but in the tough two tough away games now in Europe - Porto and today again - this team has character and this team showed fighting spirit and determination to win games.

"It was not fair to assess the team because there was a red card of one of our best players, our captain and it was overturned. Everyone agreed it was not the right decision, that it was an injustice and it is also an injustice to assess the team on that performance against Spurs.

"Of course, it was a tough first half but that period I remember some very good chances and the team did not get time to bounce back from that position, the 1-0 losing position. And this team - that is why I try also to explain is resilient - can bounce back between games but also in games."
