Tyreek Hill injury updates: Will Dolphins WR play in Week 10 game vs. Rams?
The Miami Dolphins haven't often been at full strength on offense during the 2024 NFL season, and it appears there are questions about whether their skill position groups will be intact in Week 10.
Tyreek Hill, the team's No. 1 receiver, is dealing with an injury that held him out of Dolphins practice on Friday and Saturday. That is leaving many Miami fans and fantasy football owners to wonder whether Hill will be able to suit up in Week 10 or if he will require a week off to get right.
Here's what to know about Hill's injury and his status for Week 10.
Tyreek Hill injury update
Hill was a non-participant at Dolphins practice both Friday and Saturday while dealing with a wrist injury.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel provided an update on Hill's status on Saturday, saying the receiver would play Monday "if his body lets him." He also explained that Hill's wrist injury had been "heating up," and the team wanted to "let it cool down," so Hill missed Friday and Saturday's practices.
Hill wasn't on Miami's injury report for Thursday's practice. He was listed as a full participant during the session, the first of the week during which Miami was required to submit an injury report.
Hill's non-participation naturally raised questions about his status for the Dolphins' "Monday Night Football" against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10.
Is Tyreek Hill playing Week 10 vs. Rams?
It isn't yet clear whether Hill's injury will prevent him from playing for the Dolphins against the Rams in Week 10. McDaniel said he "wasn't optimistic or pessimistic" about Hill's chances of suiting up when asked about the receiver's status on Saturday.
"He’s doing everything possible to play," McDaniel told reporters, per the Miami Herald. "We will see how he responds. I’m optimistic he will do everything he can [to play]."
McDaniel's comments about Hill's wrist injury clarified that the team was not just giving him a rest day. Miami had allowed the 30-year-old one ahead of its Week 9 game when he was also listed with a foot injury, so some had wondered if his Friday absence was a similar situation for the veteran pass-catcher.
However, as listed on the Dolphins' Week 10 injury report, Hill did not earn the "rest" designation for either of the days he missed. Other veterans like Terron Armstead, Calais Campbell, and Jordan Poyer did, so Hill's injury appears to be a real concern.
That's why Hill is trending toward being a true game-time decision. His fantasy managers will want to keep a close eye on his status and be prepared to grab a backup option from the waiver wire if the star speedster can't suit up.

Dolphins WR depth chart
The Dolphins have just five receivers on their 53-man roster right now, including Hill. They are as follows:
Eskridge is not playing in Week 10 for personal reasons, so the Dolphins will be extra shorthanded if Hill is also out of action.
Waddle is the No. 1 option if Hill has to miss time, while Beckham Jr. and Washington would step into larger roles within the receiving corps. The team could also get veteran receiver River Cracraft back from a shoulder injury; he could play a key role in replacing Hill.
The Dolphins have seen ten different receivers log snaps this season. If Cracraft returns and plays in Week 10, that number will increase to 11.
