Tottenham academy ace Tyrese Hall has been named in Ange Postecoglou's first-team squad for Tuesday evening's Premier League encounter against Man City. It is a huge game for both sides as Spurs eye up a top-four finish and the visitors look to get their hands on the league title for the fourth year on the trot.

Having sustained a number of injury blows over the course of the campaign, Postecoglou revealed a further issue in his pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon with Yves Bissouma ruled out for the remainder of the campaign. The midfielder will now sit out the Man City and Sheffield United fixtures due to a knee injury.

As a result of Bissouma's absence, a place in the matchday party has opened up and Hall has stepped into the first-team squad for the very first time.

Here, football.london gives you the lowdown on the talented midfielder and what exactly he can offer Postecoglou and Tottenham.

Last Friday it was confirmed that the central midfielder had committed his long-term future to the club after putting pen-to-paper on fresh terms until the summer of 2029. Hall's new contract was richly deserved after making a real impression in Spurs' academy over the past couple of years.

A regular in Tottenham's Under-18 side at the start of the current campaign and contributing with three goals and three assists, the 18-year-old has become a regular for the Under-21s since the turn of the year. Handed a start in their home fixture against Aston Villa at the end of January, the starlet played the full 90 minutes and got two assists to his name in a 5-3 win.

Since that appearance against the Villans, Hall has maintained his place in the side and played a key role in their success this season after Spurs finished top of the table. Now involved in the Premier League 2 play-offs, the academy ace scored a well-taken double against Liverpool on Sunday evening and also in the penalty shootout as the Lilywhites advanced through to the semi-finals after a 3-3 draw.

Part of the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double-winning side last season, Hall, who has eight goals and seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions this term, will be looking to enjoy more success 12 months on with Spurs taking on Fulham in the Premier League Cup final on Thursday evening. Now part of the matchday squad for Tuesday evening's Premier League encounter against Man City, the highly-rated midfielder will be hoping more opportunities come his way in the first team under Postecoglou in the months ahead.
