UFC books Daniel Marcos vs. Aori Qileng for February event

Days after he was removed from this Saturday’s event, Daniel Marcos is back on the UFC schedule.

With visa issues expected to be resolved, Marcos (15-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) faces Aori Qileng (25-11 MMA, 3-3 UFC) at a UFC Fight Night event Feb. 10 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the matchup but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Marcos, 30, has back-to-back wins to kick off his UFC tenure. Following a TKO finish of Saimon Oliveira in his debut, Marcos defeated Davey Grant by split decision. He was expected to fight in November, but the bout was canceled when his opponent Victor Hugo missed weight. Marcos was then expected to face Carlos Vera on Dec. 10, but visa issues forced him out of the bout.

Qileng, 30, has won three of his most recent four outings. The exception in that stretch was a knockout loss to Aiemann Zahabi in June. However, Qileng bounced back in October when he defeated Johnny Munoz by unanimous decision.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Feb. 10 includes:

  • Jack Hermansson vs. Joe Pyfer

  • Gregory Rodrigues vs. Brad Tavares

  • Armen Petrosyan vs. Rodolfo Vieira

  • Dan Ige vs. Lerone Murphy

  • Trevin Giles vs. Carlos Prates

  • Bruna Brasil vs. Loma Lookboonmee

  • Max Griffin vs. Jeremiah Wells

  • Hyder Amil vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke

  • Daniel Marcos vs. Aori Qileng
