Unseen Odin Thiago Holm Celtic title party moment as fringe man refuses to lift trophy

It is safe to say Odin Thiago Holm's Celtic career hasn't gone to plan so far.

The Norwegian midfielder was tipped as a wonderkid and a rising star when signed by the Hoops for £2.6 million last summer. But he has since made just 13 appearances with many of them coming as a sub as he struggles to break into the midfield which is arguably the strongest part of Brendan Rodgers' squad.

Still 21, Holm could still go on to have a great career be it at Celtic or elsewhere. But he hasn't been much of a part of things this season and certainly seems to feel that way himself given his actions at this afternoon's title party following the win over St Mirren.

So often you say back-up players who have barely featured still making themselves the centre of attention at end-of-season celebrations. But the youngster was the opposite today as he snubbed the Premiership trophy.

After Callum McGregor lifted the trophy it began to be passed around the rest of the players. And after Nicolas Kuhn had his moment with it, he turned to Holm.

But the Norwegian simply shook his head and walked past without touching the trophy. Holm's appearances were enough to land him a medal but he was in no mood to go full John Terry with the trophy.
